Policies
How a night at Soiree works, in plain words.
Photos of your child
We ask your written permission before we share any photo of your child, on this site, in newsletters or on social media, and you can change your answer at any time. We never put a child's name with a photo, and the photos on this site are examples until we replace them with our own.
When to stay home
Please stay home with a fever or a cough, and tell the front desk so your drop-in or card can move. We open the windows between classes and keep hand sanitizer at the door.
What to wear and bring
Wear what you can move in and would wear to dinner: a skirt that swirls, trousers or a loose shirt. Bring a water bottle and a small towel. Shoes with a smooth sole slide well, and clean sneakers are fine for the first nights. Street shoes stay off the floor.
Guests and watching
A friend is welcome to watch your first class from the bench at the edge of the floor, and anyone with a pass may stay for the social. Ask the front desk if you'd like to bring a guest to watch.
Absences and late arrival
Tell the front desk if you can't make it. If you arrive late, join at the next change of partners so you don't break a combination. We ask you to wait at the door until then.
Closures for weather and holidays
On snow days we text and email dancers by mid-afternoon. A class we cancel moves to another night on the same pass. We close on a few holidays, listed on the registration page.
Phones and recording
Phones stay in your bag on the floor. Please ask before you film anyone, and don't film a stranger. Teachers sometimes record a short step to show the class, and share it only if the dancers agree.
