Social dance for adults
Swing, salsa and bachata on weeknights, taught in the order a first night needs. Then the floor opens for the social. No partner and no experience needed: we change partners, and nobody dances alone.

The week

Sample classes.
Classes run an hour, with up to 24 dancers. Times shift a little each session; the registration page has this week's.
Passes
Every pass covers the class and the social that follows it. How each one works is set out below, and the figures are on our registration page.
One night: a class and the social after it. The easiest way to try us.
A set number of nights to use across a session, in any style and at any level.
Any class and every social, month to month, for people who come most weeks.
Your first night
Five steps, so there are no surprises at the door.
Choose a first-night or beginner class from the schedule and book it on our registration page. Come on your own or with a friend.
Check in at the front desk, put your bag in a cubby and change your shoes. A smooth sole slides well, and clean sneakers are fine.
An hour with one teacher: a warm-up, one basic step and a short combination. We change partners every few minutes, so nobody needs to bring one.
After class the floor opens to everyone with a pass. Dance with whoever is near, sit one out and watch, or go home; it's your night.
Before you leave, tell the front desk how it went. We'll help you pick a pass, or you can come back for another drop-in.
Teachers
Six teachers share the week. Nasia and Alejo lead the classes you'll see here most, and one of them is on the floor at every social.

Owner and swing teacher
Nasia opened Soiree for people who wanted a weeknight with music in it. She teaches the swing classes, hosts the Friday and Saturday socials, and still asks every new dancer how their first night went.

Salsa and bachata teacher
Alejo teaches the salsa and bachata classes and runs the partner changes. He teaches the count first, on your own, so the steps feel easy by the time you take a partner.
Book a first-night or beginner class on our registration page, come a little early and check in at the front desk. You can come alone: we change partners through the class.
No. Partners change every few minutes, so you dance with many people and never wait for one. Come on your own, with a friend or with your partner; all three work.
If you've never danced, choose first night or beginner in the style that sounds like fun. If you're not sure, swing is an easy way in. Tell the teacher you're new and they'll look after you.
Clothes you can move in and wouldn't mind being a little warm in. Shoes with a smooth sole slide well, and clean sneakers are fine for the first nights. Bring a water bottle.
First night is for people who have never danced. Beginner builds the basics, improver adds turns and longer combinations, and all levels mixes everyone. Your teacher tells you when the next level fits; there is no test and no rush.
Every pass covers a class and the social after it. A drop-in is one night, a class card is a set number of nights across a session, and a monthly pass covers every class and both weekend socials.
