Class
Salsa
Salsa is a partner dance on a simple count, with turns that look harder than they are. We teach the count on your own first, in a circle with no partner, so the step is in your feet before anyone takes your hand.

What a class is like
- 01
Step 1: Warm up and the count
We clap and step the count together, with no partner, until it feels easy.
- 02
Step 2: The basic
The forward and back step, on your own and then in pairs.
- 03
Step 3: A first turn
One turn, shown slowly, with the lead and the follow explained in plain words.
- 04
Step 4: Change partners
We rotate often, so you meet the whole room and nobody is left waiting.
Good to know
What to wear
Clothes you can move in and shoes with a smooth sole. Clean sneakers are fine for the first nights. Bring water.
Class length and size
An hour, with up to 24 dancers. The social starts when the class ends.
Level and moving up
First night and beginner are the way in. Your teacher tells you when improver fits; there is no test and no rush.
